anquanboldin.jpgThe Associated Press is reporting that Arizona Cardinal wide receiver Anquan Boldin said he has told his agent Drew Rosenhaus to end negotiations and that he would not re-sign with the team.

“Right now I don’t want a deal,” he said Thursday. “You may think I’m funny or saying that just to say it, but for me, I’m tired of it. I washed my hands of the whole situation.”

We all know the situation. Larry Fitzgerald signed a new deal with the Philadelphia Eagles Cardinals this offseason worth $40 million over four years. Boldin is still playing under his contract extension that he signed after the 2005 season which is paying him an average of $4 million a year through 2010. That’s a very big difference in salaries for two wide receivers that are equally important to their team.

Best case scenario for both sides would be if Arizona traded Boldin to the Philadelphia Eagles for Lito Sheppard and draft picks or maybe for that extra first rounder the Eagles got from the Carolina Panthers.

Worst case scenario would be if Arizona Cardinal players were forced to watch Gigli, starring Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, instead of watching game film during training camp.
