victorino.jpgPhillies fans that think Shane Victorino is anything but average is clueless about baseball. Absolutely clueless. Take off your homer hats and realize this guy is hurting his team.

Victorino is hitting under .260 from the two-hole this year. That is unacceptable. That is horrible. It’s also pathetic.

He is batting .227 with runners in scoring position. He is an absolute rally killer and has been the last out(in an inning) with men on 39 times this year with a success rate of 25%. Again, pathetic.

He gets his hits when he is at the bottom of the order, when there is no pressure or men on base.

He has more strikeouts (36) then walks (32). Again, unacceptable for a two-hitter.

Victorino is an average baseball player. I would consider him a weak link on this team, along with the RF and catcher positions (starting pitching as well). He is an extreme downgrade from Aaron Rowand who played the CF position for the Phillies last year.

Wake up Phillies fans. Your team has tons of holes and Victorino is one of them.

And when I say average, I mean he sucks.

Where did I say Victorino was great? He’s a nice player. Avg. isn’t great. He gets clutch hits and puts speed on the base paths. He also covers assloads of ground in the outfield.

    ****wins****

It’s easy to play CF in a small ballpark, because there isn’t assloads of ground. He isn’t even considered one of the better CF’s, defensively.

    He’s not a nice player.

He is a weak link to this team.

“He isn’t even considered one of the better CF’s, defensively.”???? Take off the anti-Phillie hat and accept the fact that he is one of the BEST defensive outfielders. He covers as much ground as anyone, reads the ball well off the bat and has one of the strongest outfield arms in all of baseball. That statement killed your credibility.

It should be noted that he is batting .279. At least put up accurate stats even if you are going to inaccurate player evaluations.

All of those stats are 100% accurate.

Got something to say?
