Since Ed Wade became GM of the Houston team of MLB, they should have changed their names to the Asstros. Wade went out and traded for Padres lefty Randy Wolf, giving up minor league righty Chris Greineke, who isn’t going to pay a lot for this muffler.
“Randy is an experienced starter and a great competitor,” Wade said in a statement. “We tried to sign him as a free agent during the offseason, but the chance for him to pitch close to home prevailed. I’ve known Randy since the day he signed his first professional contract, and I can say without hesitation that he brings every quality that you’d want in a member of your team, both on and off the field.”
If you’ve known about him for that long then you should know about what you are going to get. Didn’t see his beat-red face in the fourth inning enough in Philly? Wolfie is ok and had a good start this year, but he’s now 6-10 with a 4.74 ERA. He hasn’t had an ERA under four in about six years.
Overall, it’s not the fact that I’m so much down on Wolf, I just think Ed Wade is a dolt who will never get a team to the promised land.

Got something to say?

Didn’t you report that he got traded to the Yankees awhile back?
Ed Wade is the worst GM ever. I can’t believe he has a job.
