Here you go, Lindsey. A league source has told PFT that the Carolina Panthers have inked third-round pick and former Penn St. LB Dan Connor to a four-year deal with a $789,000 signing bonus. This is actually jack squat for a guy who slipped out of the bottom of the first round.
We aren’t scouts at OTR, but we know a baller when we see one. Teams that needed a LB will pay for passing on Connor. He may not be the fastest or the biggest, and he may not be a Combine monster, but we don’t care. This guy is a hell of a football player. The ball goes here, there goes Dan. The ball goes there, there goes Dan. All this guy does is make plays. The Panthers got one hell of a steal in the third round.
Unless he’s an unmitigated bust at the pro level. In which case, you can ignore the previous paragraph.

Got something to say?

He’s going to be amazing in the NFL. All-pro kind of stuff. Watch out!!
Or… he’ll be yet another PSU bust and have to settle for having his face on a t-shirt in The Clothesline with all of the other failed players making the school proud. *Sigh*
Don’t you EVER say anything negative about DJ Dozier or Lydell Mitchell.
