Ad time!
Raise your hand if you think Bose is the best speaker out there. Those that raised their hands just admitted that - like I used to be - they are uninitiated in the world of serious audio. You spent all that money on your HDTV and ignored the audio? You kidding me?
Go check out the Anthony Gallo Acoustics speakers. We’ll wait.
Balls are great for sports, but they are better for home theater. Gallo’s speakers are not only affordable, but they destroy Bose. It’s not even close. Anthony Gallo knows a thing or two about speakers, and they all employ a spherical enclosure for a reason. I’ll bore you for a second to explain that the sphere is the most rigid enclosure and eliminates external diffraction. Do you care? Of course not, you just want to know that they sound kick-ass. And they do.
The Reference 3.1 won The Absolute Sound’s “Overall Product of the Year” in 2004. The A’Diva Ti’s (5″ spheres. Guys, the girl will let you get these speakers because they are so damn cool looking. Just fyi) are being used in the recording studio! They have been used to mix Stevie Wonder and Outkast (not at the same time, that would be tough). And for affectation (OTR is assuming you don’t have $20k in your pocket, because you are reading about sports right now instead of furthering your career at work), check out the Reference 5LS (pictured). I’ve heard it. It’s stupid good.
But don’t worry, Gallo’s speakers aren’t usually in the $20,000/pair range. You can get some Gallo starting at $220. Just do it. Thank us later.

Got something to say?

I can confirm that Gallo speakers are the best available. Granted I haven’t bought any, but did some research in the event I wanted to put in a new home theatre system.
**drifts into daydream, rather than furthering my career**
I’ve hear the A’Diva’s and they are incredible. I was amazed at how much sound could come out of a 5″ speaker. I too was a Bose person until I hear the A’Diva’s. No contest.
That should say…”I’ve heard…”
