According to the Philadelphia Flyers main website, Kimo Timonen could return on Sunday when the Flyers and Penguins play Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals at Mellon Arena (3:00 p.m., NBC). Timonen has missed the last four games against Pittsburgh with a blood clot in his left foot and he will be skating today.
Thanks to J. Morrini Morroni for the heads up.
The Flyers beat the Penguins earlier this season four straight times and most recently, took four straight against the Montreal Canadiens in the second round of this year’s playoffs. Look for them to work this angle for the remaining games. If we know one thing about this Flyers team, it’s that they will never quit.
