The Detroit Pistons finished off the Orlando Magic last night 91-86 led by Rip Hamilton’s 31 points (16-16 at the charity stripe). This is the sixth straight time that the Pistons will appear in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Let’s review what Jameer Nelson said before this game, “We’re going to make some adjustments, and we’re going to win this game. I’m not being arrogant or cocky or anything like that. I think [Saturday] we let it slip out of our hands. Game 2 we let it slip out of our hands. We’re going to win this game in Detroit.”
Let’s review what Jameer Nelson did last night during the game. NOTHING! He got outplayed by rookie Rodney Stuckey. I hope you learned a lesson, Jameer. Once Orlando finds a real point guard, they’ll have a chance to win.
The Pistons await the winner of the Celtics/Cavaliers series which is tied at two and this will give Chauncey Billups plenty of time to rest his hamstring.
Over in the Western Conference, the New Orleans Hornets put the San Antonio Spurs on the brink of elimination with their 101-79 victory. Hornet David West played absolutely huge scoring 38 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Game Six will be played back in San Antonio on Thursday night and hopefully the Spurs will force a Game Seven, because OTR loves Game Sevens.
Yeah, and the Flyers lost again.
