After trying to catch a puck with his left eye with no success in the beginning of Game Two, Flyers defensemen Bradon Coburn is still not ready to play. His eye is still swollen shut and seeing in hockey (and in all sports but the WNBA) is a vital asset to have to be able to perform well.
Side note: Sometimes being able to see doesn’t even help you in sports. It’s not helping the ten million dollar man Ryan Howard, that’s for sure.
Coburn’s cut was closed with 50 stitches, but as soon as he is ready to go he will be back on the ice.
“As soon as it opens up, I’m going to play,” Coburn said referring to his eye and not his cut. Cause, you know, if his cut opened up it would just bleed and that wouldn’t help.
