I think we all remember Keith Primeau’s amazing performance in the 2004 Stanley Cup Playoffs, so let’s relive some of that. On the brink of elimination, down three games to two, the Philadelphia Flyers were down to their last two minutes of their playoff lives. Primeau didn’t want his team’s fantastic run to end. He had scored the second Flyer’s goal earlier in the game and he was looking for another which would make it his ninth of the playoffs. And you know what? He got it. Let’s watch:
The game was sent to overtime and again the Flyers were attacking with under two minutes to go. And again, Primeau was on the ice and got the puck to JR who put it in front of the net. And good things happen when you put the puck on the net. With 1:42 left, Simon Gagne was at the right spot at the right time. Let’s watch:
