The IndyCar series held their qualifying for the Indianapolis 500 to determine starting positions over the weekend. Female driver Danica Patrick held the best time for 34 minutes until other racers started knocking her back. By the end of the day, Patrick found herself with the fifth best time. Scott Dixon won the pole with speeds of over 226 mph (that’s fast), so he will be starting in the one position on May 25th.
Dan Wheldon was the first driver to have a speed faster than Patrick and he will be starting in the two spot. After his qualifying lap which ultimately knocked Patrick off the pole, Danica had this to say, “Oh my God, Damn Dan.” Take whatever you want from that. I set the table, close your eyes and pretend.
Always remember, if you’re not first, you’re last!
