All-world 3B Alex Rodriguez will need another MRI before he can begin his rehab assignment for a strained quad.
Manager Joe Girardi said “it’s less likely that he’d be back when he’s eligible,” which is a week from today.
While the situation is not nearly as severe for the Yankees as the New York locals would have you think, they do need A-Rod back. Jorge Posada will be gone for a decent amount of time and the back half of the starting rotation is likely a disaster.
They did bounce back this afternoon however, with a 6-3 win over Cleveland to avoid the brooms.
