Disputing a report by Peter Vescey in the New York Post, Derrick Coleman tells Stephen A. Smith that he doesn’t need a heart transplant. Maybe Vescey just happened to be watching tape of his NBA career. C’mon, you knew that was coming.
“Do I sound like I need a heart transplant? I don’t know how this stuff gets started,” Coleman said. “I appreciate the love, but please tell everybody that I am fine.”
Coleman is indeed hospitalized, but says that it is for an irregular heartbeat.
