SportingNews’ Clifton Brown suggests that the Cincinnati Bengals should trade Chad Johnson ASAP. OTR believes that Clifton is correct. OTR also likes the name Clifton.
He is correct in saying that Chad Johnson’s trade value can’t get much higher. Since 2002, Chad Johnson has had over 1,100 yards in each season. He has had 43 TDs in the last five years and 90 plus catches in four of the last five seasons. Furthermore, the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys would be two of the teams interested in acquiring his rights. This inter conference battle (if there is one) could even push his trade value higher.
The Philadelphia Eagles made attempts at signing Randy Moss and pursued Larry Fitzgerald, so if Chad Johnson becomes available OTR believes the Eagles will make a run. If anything is to happen and the Bengals decide to part with Ocho Cinco, look for something to happen right before the draft, if not the weekend of.
